Game IDs, additional fields

  • Hey all.

I didn’t see a field for Game ID, and yet pretty much every game has one. This should be a primary key and something one can look up a game by in the database.

Also, for Japanese games, can we get some additional title fields?

    1. Japanese Kanji/Hiragana
    2. Romaji
    3. Translated Title
    4. Common English Title

    Help a guy out?

    ex:
Title: X-Men: Children of the Atom
    Platform: Sega Saturn
    Region: USA
    Game ID: T-8108H

Title: 1943: The Battle of Valhalla
    Platform: Famicom
    Region: JPN
    Game ID: CAP-43

Title: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time
    Platform: Super Nintendo Entertainment System
    Region: USA
    Game ID: SNS-TM-USA

    Title (Kanji): 赤川次郎の幽霊列車
Title (Romaji): Akagawa Jirou no Yuurei Ressha
Title (English Translated): Akagawa Jiro’s Ghost Train
    Platform: Famicom
    Region: JPN
    Game ID: KIN-YU

  • anyone? would really like to be able to use this but as a non-japanese speaker with a primarily japanese collection, this becomes very difficult without a simple way to track them all.

  • You can look up a game by ID by using the API thegamesdb.net/game/(ID). Oh I see, you mean like official ID. You might have better luck getting in contact with the developers through their FB page (Kona, I know it’s you :) )
