I use AttractMode for my personal collection and the scraper was actually working fine for scraping images/genre/descriptions - perhaps the latest version was updated to work with new v2 API, or maybe there is some backwards compatibility with the v1 API? The only issue with AttractMode scraper is it runs out of allowances - "thegamesdb.net reports a remaining allowance of: Unknown".

So.. to remedy this I was writing my own web scraper in python before I saw the ability to request an API key and do things the correct way. Could I make an API request for use with my python scraper and try it with AttractMode first, and if it works then fine, but if not then just continue with my little python project?

If listxml is malfunctioning, this is something we'll need to look into with the AttractMode team. It shouldn't be hitting allowance limits if they're pulling nightlies and scraping against those.

That said, I'll go ahead and approve your key request for the time being. It's not something we generally like to do, but I figure we can meet you halfway in this instance.
