6502 based 48K machine from UK and later France. AY sound chip. Main active years were 1983 to 1984, then it tailed off.
Oric-1 was the first model in 16K and 48K variants.
Oric Atmos was a 'reskin' with black and red case and a slightly updated ROM, but 99% compatible (motherboard was the same). Similar to ZX Spectrum/ZX Spectrum+ situation.
