Apps removed without notice

Post by glazedbelmont »

Hi, I'm a bit new to this place so forgive me if I'm misinterpreting rules.

Are we not allowed to make entries for emulators ? ES-DE/Batocera etc uses TGDB alongside ScreenScraper but the latter is very much a bit pain to make new entries on. I had made entries for a few android emulators but a few hours, they were just removed without any notice. I feel like it's a bit unfortunate when this place is legit the most streamlined way to provide metadata for these apps.

Have any updates? This is difficult for new users. I am unable to proceed with creating entries for some Android emulators.

Neither one of you is adding games to the database.
Please refrain from adding apps in future.

Thank you!
We're curious to see how new projects use TGDB API.
If you have a new public project, please provide a link to it so we can highlight cool new applications! 8-)

Some platforms prioritize physical or officially licensed software over emulators, which could explain why your entries were removed. Since TGDB is often used for providing streamlined metadata, it’s best to contact their support or check their submission guidelines to clarify their stance on emulator entries.
