Hi to everybody.
I am new in this forum but i have been using the site for a couple of months.
I have added a new game to the database and it shows ok.
But when i call the game identifier from an android app where i have my android games launcher, it says that can’t find a match for the game.
If i use the identifier for the PC version it finds the game (identifier 27419)
https://thegamesdb.net/game.php?id=27419
But if i use the identifier for the version i created (identifier 61011) it doesn’t find it
https://thegamesdb.net/game.php?id=61011
Both urls are working.
Do i have to do anything else?
Thanks for your help and for such good site.
New game added not matching found
Re: New game added not matching found
Hi there,
the site and API have been updated few months ago, and the old api have been moved to legacy support, the old api wouldnt include any new game added since.
from your report, i can tell that the new game id (61011) was added after the new api was introduced (all new games added after the new api/site would start from 60k+), as such you need to contact the app maker to switch to the new api.
do note, he might just as well be in the process of switching.

Re: New game added not matching found
Any idea if/when RetroPie will release a new version that uses the new API? Because its built-in scraper uses http://legacy.thegamesdb.net, so it's not able to pick up any of the games I've newly added via https://thegamesdb.net. Is there any plan in the works to create an automatic scheduled backport so that when people add things to https://thegamesdb.net, things like RetroPie (latest available version) that still use the "legacy" API can actually see the new games? The current state of affairs is very confusing and user-unfriendly.

It looks like squiz is working on a stop-gap for the moment:

We're curious to see how new projects use TGDB API.
